Government of Jersey London Office supports with the repatriation of Jersey residents abroad

April 1, 2020

Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government of Jersey has supported over 100 Jersey residents in 22 countries faced with huge travel restrictions imposed by governments to slow the spread of Covid-19.

Government of Jersey London officials have been working closely with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, as well as partner governments overseas, to ensure Jersey residents have been able to access consular support and advice where needed. Officials have also been assisting with the arrangement of flights back to the UK and to Jersey via Southampton through the maintenance of a regular chartered air service operated by Blue Islands.

Through this chartered service, Jersey residents abroad, as well as essential workers and medical patients, are able to complete their journeys home safely. Officials are also supporting those who are abroad but are not seeking an imminent return to Jersey.
